Terms of Service

The Docsy service is provided by Docsy.uk. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you use Docsy on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

Docsy provides browser-based document tools (conversion, merging, splitting, compression, signing, redaction, OCR and similar) and AI features such as summarising, explaining, translating and chatting with documents. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must not:

• use Docsy for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive, including spam;
• upload or process content you do not have the rights to use;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service (malware, probing, scanning, scraping, circumventing rate or plan limits);
• reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service.

You are responsible for the prompts you submit, for holding the rights to any content you input, for how you use the outputs, and for verifying their accuracy. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose, and must not be relied upon as legal, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice without qualified human review.

You must not use the AI features to produce illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, or malware, or to attempt to jailbreak or bypass safety controls. As between you and us, you retain the rights in your inputs; subject to your compliance with these terms, you may use the outputs generated from your inputs.

We may filter, refuse, restrict or remove content and outputs, and suspend accounts, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. Rights holders can report infringing content by contacting us; we will review takedown requests and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

You keep ownership of the documents and content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service to you, including sending relevant content to our AI processing providers where you use an AI feature. Files processed in the browser are handled locally where the tool allows it, and stored files are removed according to the retention periods described in our Privacy Notice.

Docsy, its software, interface, documentation and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

Docsy Premium is a recurring subscription billed monthly at the price shown on our pricing page until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page, and access continues until the end of the paid period.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

We work to keep Docsy fast and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using Docsy and delete your account at any time. On termination, your stored files and account data are deleted in line with our Privacy Notice; export anything you need beforehand.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
